June Newsletter 2024
Hello Hurricane Members,
What an incredible few months it’s been for all of us! The entire club has shown outstanding performance in various ways.
From assisting with Bunning’s to helping crews get on the water and forming short crews for nationals, every effort has made a significant difference.
The fun and camaraderie we experienced at nationals were unparalleled, with many great team and individual performances to celebrate. Our major sponsor is thrilled with the
club’s achievements, and the new canoe has notably impacted that division.
As we look ahead, the question remains: where do we go from here? This decision lies in the hands of all our members. In the next few weeks, I will be asking for your input on the club’s direction for 2025. Please speak freely and share your thoughts when asked.
Remember to remain humble, respect everyone both inside and outside the club, and make our environment welcoming to all. Let’s continue to share our knowledge and support each other.
Here are some fun travel facts from our journey:
– 9120 km traveled
– $5270 spent on fuel
– $300 spent on roadhouse coffee, food, and extra ratchet
straps for running repairs
– $1500 spent on bearings and tail shaft repairs
And don’t forget: when traveling, make sure to turn left at Nevertire, or you’ll end up in Dubbo! Ha ha. Let’s keep the journey fun and memorable.
Best regards,
Stimo
